Outdoor Sport Soap - Insect repellent soap
Our homemade insect repellent soap is made with 100% lard like our ancestors. This outdoor soap contains a complex blend of essential oils intended to repel most biting insects without using toxic chemicals like Deet.
One of my customers asked for a homemade soap used to relieve the itch and burn from poison ivy and poison oak exposure. To have the benefit of two products into one soap, we used the base of our poison ivy relief soap and added the insect repellent blend, this is ideal for many people who either work or play outdoors all summer. Here in the Appalachian Mountains, it is almost a necessity if you go hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, camping, or even work in a lawn maintenance business.
Outdoor Sport soap with its natural glycerin in known to leave a barrier on your skin, protecting it from the harmful elements in today’s world of chemical products. To benefit from this soap, it is suggested to wet and rub on the exposed area, but do not wash off for several hours while in the outdoors. An application of this type will dry up the oil from poison ivy that causes the itch and burn, and repel insects at the same time. This is an old time remedy to get relief from poison ivy and poison oak.

Our Outdoor Sport Soap is made, cut and trimmed by hand, there may be some variation in the size and color between individual lots, and we do not intend to misrepresent any of our soap. Insect Repellent soap has an average weight of 4.5 ounces, on occasion the soap you purchase may weigh slightly less due to the homemade characteristics.
